About Clarity at Work

Clarity at Work is a Canadian advisory practice built for organizations that need experienced leadership support without the drag of a traditional consulting model.

The work is grounded in operational leadership, workforce transformation, people strategy, governance, and responsible AI adoption. It is practical, direct, and designed to help leaders move from pressure and ambiguity toward clearer decisions and stronger execution.

How the Work is Different

Many advisory conversations stay at the conceptual level. Clarity at Work focuses on what actually changes inside the organization.

  • Clear performance expectations
  • Aligned leadership messaging
  • Responsible AI integration
  • Governance visibility
  • Defined accountability structures
  • Practical tools that get used after the engagement ends

Theresa Lynn, founder of Clarity at Work, fractional HR and AI governance advisor based in Alberta

Theresa Lynn

Founder & Principal

Theresa Lynn founded Clarity at Work after more than two decades inside operating roles — leading people functions through growth, restructuring, crisis, and the first wave of AI adoption in Canadian businesses. She has seen what actually breaks when leadership decisions lag and what holds when the fundamentals are strong.

A former licensed Alberta realtor, Theresa brings a front-line operator's instinct to advisory work. She is not a career consultant. Her background informs how she talks to broker owners, leadership teams, and HR functions — in plain language, with no layer of theory between the conversation and the decision.

Theresa holds advanced credentials from SHRM, PMI, Oxford Saïd Business School, and MIT in HR, AI governance, and leadership. That combination — deep HR fluency paired with formal AI governance training — is still uncommon in the Canadian advisory market and is the reason clients bring her in when the problem sits across people, policy, and technology at once.

Stacey Commer, Partner Facilitator

Stacey Commer brings 36 years of experience in radio and television news, with a career built at the front edge of breaking stories, public scrutiny, and high pressure events. She understands crisis from the outside in and helps organizations prepare before the spotlight turns toward them.

That perspective is what sets her work apart. Stacey understands crisis from the outside in. She knows how stories develop, what the media looks for, how pressure escalates, and where organizations tend to falter in the first critical hours. She combines that real world experience with formal training through the Crisis Communications Course at Western University.

Her work now helps organizations move from reactive panic to practical readiness. Through crisis communications workshops and advisory support, Stacey helps leaders strengthen response plans, clarify roles, prepare spokespersons, and protect trust when the stakes are high. Her focus includes crisis communication planning, holding statements and message development, spokesperson preparation, response protocols, and reputation protection in fast moving digital environments.

Stacey’s approach is grounded, practical, and shaped by the reality that a reputation built over decades can be damaged in moments. She helps organizations prepare before a crisis hits, so they can respond with clarity, discipline, and credibility when it matters most.
